PANZERCHRIST: Drummer RENO KIILERICH Rejoins The Fold

February 7, 2006

Danish extreme metallers PANZERCHRIST have entered the studio to begin recording their new album, "Batallion Beast". The band have issued the following update on the progress of the CD's recording sessions:

"As previously posted we are now in the studio recording 'Batallion Beast'. Things are moving forward — slowly. As work proceeded it became obvious that Bent's [Nyeng; also of DIE] style of drumming didn't really fit the style of PANZERCHRIST, so we decided to replace him. Drums will as of now be performed by Reno 'The Fastest Feet In The World' Kiilerich [DIMMU BORGIR, VILE, DEW-SCENTED]. Reno was the obvious choice and we are glad to be working with him again. Expect nothing but the end of the world as we know it. All bow to the Batallion beast."

PANZERCHRIST's new album is the group's first release with newly recruited keyboard player Dea Lillelund (also in FAIRYTALE ABUSE). The lyrics to the follow-up to 2003's "Room Service" (Mighty Music) will apparently be completely in German, according to a posting on the band's web site.

PANZERCHRIST's new album is being recorded at Antfarm Studio in Aarhus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen. An spring/summer release through Neurotic Records is expected.
